Gill's just given me a recipe for dandelion coffee and there's loads about. Dandelion Salad? I used to know someone who used to pick bucketfuls of dandelion flowers to make dandilion wine.
Btw I just found a recipe for dock pudding, and think I have found some, so I might give it a try!

Sim's brother made us wild garlic pesto- just whizz up loads of washed wild garlic leaves with liberal quantities of olive oil and cashews. Very yummy- big garlic hit :-)

My mum used to send me 'salad picking' in the garden before dinner >>>> dandelion leaves (the younger ones), chickweed, and nasturtian flowers largely. We also used to live off seabeet ... which is delicious and has always left spinach a bit short for me ever since (can't get it anywhere away from the sea it seems).

What we have got here is tonnes of wild garlic. We dug some up last year to see if it produced a bulb (which it didn't seem to) ... good to find something you can do with it. I'm going to give the pesto a go (if I can find some that's not next to the A6!)

My mum had a book called "food for free" (and my fIL has it too .. I'm trying to acquire it as it is very unlikely that he'll ever eat anything in it!)

cool blog!!!
