Food For Free - the book
I'm very excited as *the book* has arrived! What's more, I didn't realise I had got myself the collins gem pocketsize version! Excellent stuff. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet though as B (yet another book mad family member) seems to have decided that it's his.
The parcelman also brought me *The Real Good life* this morning. Think I know someone who might be wanting to have a gander at the section on keeping chickens...
Eek just read that a tumbler drier produces 3KG of greenhouse gases with EVERY load! Really must stop relying on ours as much as we do. Hmm, seems I'm digressing on this blog already. Ah well, it's my blog and I'll ramble and digress if I want to ;0)

I was hoping you would ;-)
I love my pocket sized copy of Food for Free. Not that it gets much use around here as everything is traffic covered :-(
Another good one (on chickens) is Zen and the Art of Chicken Maintanence. Currently appearing heavily reduced in The Works and similar establishments.
Will be interested to know how the real good life goes for you... been eyeing that in a local bookshop but its sealed up and I *don't* buy books I can't look at first lol.
Hi Helen
Cor my shelves would be much lighter if I didn't buy without first looking at them! Maybe it's a way of life I should try to live by for a while >grin<
I got the real good life through BOL as it was on offer (impulse buy I admit it!). So far it looks good, maybe rather basic for those that already know a thing or two, but as a novice it looks just about right.
Shall pass the chicken book hint on to my friend who plans on getting some - thanks :0)
